What We Do
Child Autism Assessments
(From 31 months to 18 years)
The assessment includes:
Completion of referral forms
Parental interviews utilising standardised tools. Such interviews are usually conducted via videocall.
In-clinic session with child/young person which includes the ADOS-2 assessment
Consultation with child’s teacher or preschool teacher
Feedback session
Cost: £1300
Some children may require a physical examination by a medical doctor as part of the assessment. This is not covered in the cost of the assessment and therefore will incur an additional fee.
We recognise that for many autistic people, attending appointments in unfamiliar environments and with unfamiliar people can be a source of considerable stress. Therefore, we try to help you to prepare your young person for their clinic appointment by sending a personalised video message to them introducing ourselves, as well as photographs of the clinic space prior to the scheduled appointment.
If autistic identification is confirmed, a thorough clinical report will be provided, as well as a therapeutic letter addressed to the child/young person, which we hope will assist you as parents in your first conversation with them about their autistic identity. We also hope this letter will help them to develop self-compassion and understanding regarding their differences. We feel it is imperative that young people are supported to develop a positive relationship with their autistic identity at the very start of their autistic journey.
Consultation
We recognise that undertaking an assessment can be a big decision for parents, therefore we offer a one-off consultation with a psychologist to help you explore whether an Autism assessment is warranted or not. If you decide to proceed to the full assessment following the consultation, the consultation fee will be taken off the total price of the assessment. Consultations are usually completed via videocall with parents or with parents and the young person.
Cost: £150
